MARIYA IBRAGIMOVA

Mariya is a self taught Queer artist with a background in fashion design, based in queens, New york. Her work is inspired by art, fashion and street culture, blending bold color platettes with a whimsical, other worldy sensibility.

Through imagined characters and expressive forms, mariya explores individuality, imperfection, and the beauty of existing outside of expecation. Her work holds space for passion,queer joy, softness and pain-often all at once.

BRAG was created using a part of her last name as a way to reclaim her identity and self-expression. Through BRAG,Mariya creates work that celebrates difference, softness, and the freedom to exist fully and unapologetically.
